Its sole purpose is enabling you to use the Paradox servers and create your multiplayer name-tag/profile, while making the process of multiple I.P. The Paradox account does not relate to your GOG.com account or your copy of the game. GOG.com is D.R.M.-free, but in order to play multiplayer, you need to create a Paradox account (as ussnorway mentioned). Now I searched the Internet, and found some evidence, that this title isnt really DRM-free. But it seems not working, bc they need an account for. The only reason is here to give it some friends to play Multiplayer with them. I own the Game on Steam, but recently I bought it also on GoG.
